Results of the 2023 MLA Elections
Second Vice President
Herman Beavers (Univ. of Pennsylvania) was elected second vice president of the association. He will serve in that office from 8 January 2024 through the close of the January 2025 convention and will automatically become first vice president in 2025, serving in that office through the close of the January 2026 convention. His term as president will begin after the close of the January 2026 convention and will continue through the close of the January 2027 convention.
Executive Council
Rita Bernice Dandridge (Virginia State Univ.), Marisa Galvez (Stanford Univ.), and Luana Moreira Reis (Univ. of Pittsburgh) were elected to at-large seats on the Executive Council for four-year terms (8 Jan. 2024 through the close of the Jan. 2028 convention).
